Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation 2015 Annual Report

2015 was a prosperous year for the Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation which provided opportunities to recognize a number of Wounded Warriors and their families. We were able to provide financial support to a number of wounded warriors locally and additionally increase the amount of funds for meals at the Warrior and Family Support Center at Brooke Army Medical Center.  We continue to maintain our objectives and mission —“it’s all about the warriors”. That approach keeps everything we do in perspective and has helped us realize steady growth; increase our knowledge and awareness; and to promote ideas that are most effective and beneficial for the Warriors.

Listed below are a few of highlights of how we used the support we were entrusted with and activities we were able to provide for the Warriors:

Three Texas Wounded Warrior Golf Schools with professional instruction (15-20 warriors at each school) 


Texas Wounded Warrior Open Golf Tournament at Republic Golf Club, San Antonio, Texas (July 21-22, 2015)

Texas Wounded Warrior Pro-Am in Tyler, Texas (October 2-5, 2015)

Texas Wounded Warrior Pro-Am at Horseshoe Bay, Texas (November 2, 2015 - Escondido Golf Club)

Vet Rides 12 Passenger Van to transport South Texas Wounded Warriors 

PING club fitting trip for 3 wounded warriors – Phoenix, Arizona 

Texas Wounded Warrior Scholarships for Veterans 

Richard and Madeline Lewis Matched Scholarship Fund 

Various financial support for individual Warriors

Dental support to Wounded Warriors in East Texas – Dr. Rick Coker’s Smile Studio

Bi-monthly meals to Wounded Warriors and families at The Warrior and Family Support Center at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas with additional funds sent for end-of-the-year Warrior Christmas gift cards
